Such a morbid piece but perfectly in keeping with the cold dread of winter. I like the creeping in the first line that matches the lonely glow at the end.
Definitely know this winter feeling. I like that it ends on just “keep me” rather than “keep me ___” – sometimes just keeping on is a great accomplishment.

Thanks! I have very strong feelings about winter.
I focus on its lonely glow to keep me. — such a sad, but hopeful image
Thank you!
I love your voice here. I can almost hear you saying this, feeling this. <3 Spring can't come soon enough.
We’re getting our first snow tomorrow and I’m so over it already.
I feel the grief and depression here. Winters are hard.
They really are and I feel like they get harder every year.
This is exactly how I feel about winter too. Exactly.
Ugh. Winter is the worst.
You said it best. The cold makes us all morbid.
Thank you. It’s such a depressing time.
So topical. Sunset was at 4:15 last night. Gah!
Right? It’s about 4:15 here now and it’s getting dark. This is not cool at all.
I hate winter for this reason.
I’m already ready for spring to get here.
“Days of night” perfectly captures the horribleness of short, winter days. Great oxymoron.
I feel like when it snows or it’s just dreary out, it feels like day never even really starts. It really bums me out.
Winter does seem to bring on the despair. You do give some hope at the end tho, and spring won’t be long coming.
I do everything I can to find things to look forward to each week so that I don’t feel like time is passing so slowly. Get here fast, spring!
Winter can feel quite dreary and I like how you’ve captured it.
Thank you so much!

Indeed it is. Some days, keeping on is all I can muster.
I loved the image of being choked by it all. I could totally relate.
thank you!
